Allegorical Harpoon
1964
Wood Sculpture
4'x 8'x 8'

Sculpted by Napoleon Abueva
Napoleon Abueva submitted this sculpture for the XXXII Venice Biennale in 1964. It is considered one of his best abstract sculptures. "It is an artwork with its movable, swivel-piece pegged to its rifle-shaped horizontal torso, impresses with its elegant but puzzling appearance." (Cultural Centre of the Philippines, para. 1)
