The Bonifacio Monument
1933
Bronze
45 ft (per statue)

Sculpted by Guillermo Tolentino
The Bonifacio Monument is regarded as one of the world's finest, representing an important moment in the history of The Philippines.

The monument consisted of 23 figures, with the central figure being Andres Bonifacio. The monument represents the revolution of the independence of The Philippines. "Tolentino sculpted all the other figures in the realistic style (where the pain and suffering of the Filipinos were greatly manifested), the figure of Bonifacio in Barong Tagalog was the only figure done in the classical style (imitating the Graeco-Roman figures that show no emotions)." (Chua. M. C., para. 6).
